1 Rice Preparation

Pre-wash the rice and allow it to absorb water (at least 30 minutes).

Measure 1.2 times the amount of water as much as the rice in a cup, or place your hand on the surface of the rice and fill the cup with water up to about your wrist.

⚠️Since the rice is not washed, there is no need to sharpen the rice.

2 Prepare firewood

After the rice has absorbed water, prepare the firewood. Use the cubes and firewood that you have in place.

Cross the square timbers and place them so that the igniter is under the square timbers. Light the igniter.

When the square timbers are burning, add firewood.

If the fire is weak, use a fire stick to feed air and adjust the flame. Be careful not to let the fire go out.

Leave the door open, not closed (closing the door will extinguish the fire).

If you do not have enough firewood, please use additional firewood from the fire pit near the Goemon bath.

After 20 minutes, fill the one that is not the pot that is cooking (the pot with nothing in it) with a little water. (This prevents the pot from burning empty after the wood is transferred.)

To prevent burning and to steam the wood, move the lit wood to the wood opening on the opposite side (the water-filled pot).

After about 10 minutes, if there is still water in the pan, check the cooker a little longer, about every 3 minutes or so.

If there is a scrape on the sides of the pot with a rice scoop, the pot is cooked.

After cooking, close the door and the small window of the fire extinguisher and extinguish the fire. (If you do not close the door and the small window, the rice will be burnt.)

... and upwards.
